Took a look at Shrews figures for last season, taking away the obvious winning rate which quite rightly took them to third place.
For example,

Average shots per match - 8.43
Average Shots on Target - 3.98
Average goals scored per game 2.12

32.7% Fixtures finished with just 1 goal scored by Shrews
20% Fixtures were won 1-0
18.4 % 1-1

For me, if accurate figures, they are relatively low numbers and such figures in this league imo won't lead to success.

Again, these figures may be inaccurate, however, for me, showing an average of 12 shots per game, isn't enough. With just an average of 4 shots on target a game

There is of course the fact the season is new. However it will be interesting to look at these around December time.

Please do the Ipswich figures last season and the three seasons before that.

Then compare and contrast.

Thanks

Did you watch the play off final? Shrewsbury looked awful, headless chickens. Emmanuel looked very good though.

Up until that game I thought Hurst was our man,but they were fecking awful and Nolan was even worse.
Nothing I have seen since has changed my mind.
Nolan is not good enough and never will be,we have better yoofs,

play em.

Having a quick look at towns recent stats. Now averaging just 3.5 shots on target per game and just over 8 shots in total. Compare that with top of table leeds.. over 14 Shots per game on average with over 8 on target

The scary thing is the 0% of winning at HT at home. Home should be your fortress, where you shine, yet we haven't once gone in ahead.

I think those stats are incredible in truth. 3.98 shots on target and 2.12 goals a game! What id give for 2.12 goals a game now!
