He needs to IMO. He's shown that he has the physical and mental ability to play there and it takes the defensive responsibility off his shoulders, while getting Dozzell in the side. He has the athleticism to get beyond Jackson or Sears which we so desperately need as our lone striker still looks sadly isolated. Nolan for all the games I have seen, admitted online or TV, has looked anonymous and offers very little in that No.10 role. | |

I personally would get Bart back in, not least to send a message of intent. DG has done little wrong, but has not had a huge amount to do either.
As for the Knudsen statement - he may not have been at fault the other night but he has a habit of conceding needless free kicks, his distribution is getting worse and if he is playing as a left back he is invariably out of position. |  |

Did you not watch him play the other night? He's a natural footballer and gets into advanced positions and he's playing as a defensive midfielder, if anything he was the one trying to create against Middlesboro'. Because he has been pigeonholed is he not capable of playing in that position? Of course he could, good players can adapt, you only have to have eyes to see he has the physical attributes to do it. He'd certainly offer more currently than Nolan and be a threat. We have no one currently getting forward to support Sears or Jackson, Chalobah could and he'd probably thrive on the freedom!!! Agreed , Chalobah should play further forward than Skuse who is incapable of quick incisive attacking passing, he's OK protecting the back 4 but that's all.
Dozzell should start deep where he can get hold of the ball and make the difference.
Nolan has been anonymous , times up on him starting until he can show more. Chalobah looked one of our better kids but can loose his man too easily, play him further forward as the poster suggested.
