Not a long piece, but a little bit about us at the bottom

I wouldn't be surprised if there's a longer interview in the programme.

Fairly meaningless in some respects, given we barely resemble what he played alongside. Interesting he is always so complimentary about us.

This bit says it all, really:

"It was a different kind of football compared to what we play here."

Yeah it is really a bit irrelevant. A usual fluff piece where they can't think of much to say. Obviously he felt his time with us helped him develop and nice words about Chambo.

“I learned the other side of the game and had a great manager who trusted me."

And there was always the comment that Mick hated him thrown around

The full quote of course, is:

“My time at Ipswich helped me develop a lot,” he said. “It was a different kind of football compared to what we play here.

“I learned the other side of the game and had a great manager who trusted me. I was a good year for me and, if it was not for that season at Ipswich, I don’t think I would be at Swansea today.

“There is no doubt my time at Ipswich helped prepare me for the move to Swansea.

“I am always grateful for my time at Ipswich. The players, manager and fans were great to me. I am looking forward to playing against them but of course I want to help the Swans win.”

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

There's one pelican in this thread taking a line out of context to try and imply exactly that.
