Come on then. Let's list the positives.

We are going down and there's a lot of valid, major concerns about the state of the club, whether we ever get back to even being a top Championship club and how many light years behind Norwich we will be.

But let's list all the things to look forward to.

- Possibility of winning football
- Possibility of entertaining football
- Possibility of a promotion campaign
- Possibility of trips to Wembley
- Being one of the biggest clubs at our level
- Likeliness of seeing plenty of academy products involved
- Going to grounds we've never been to
- Playing teams in the early rounds of the FA Cup that we may never have played before
- Slim chance of interesting (slightly embarrassing) FA Cup matches against the likes of Needham or Leiston
- Possible runs in the cups
- Increased chance of becoming more of a family / community club than we have been through necessity
- We have won 9 matches in a row against Walsall, so that should be at least 2 wins next season! ;)

Poll: How many points from 18 would Lambert need to have to actually be sacked?

....are possible "positives" already.

They just don't happen.

Full credit for attempting to be positive though.

Without a time machine, it's a little difficult to predict what will happen in League One, but we've clearly got a better chance of certain things like winning and being easy on the eye with one a budget in the Top 6 or 10 than in this division on the Bottom 6.

At the start of next season, irrespective of which league we'll be in, we'll be equal top.

Roll on late August.

From a nostalgia point of view, (and it'll wear off after a season or two I am sure) League One in 2019 looks pretty much like what we experienced in 1989 in Division Two.

Boothferry Park, Fellows Park, Valley Parade, Victoria Ground, wooden stands, terracing, portacabins, terrible toilets, burger vans inside the stand, being close enough to the opposition goalkeeper to give each other friendly grief during the game.

TWTD.

We hope.

- More ticket offers for non season holders which will be welcomed by the season ticket holders who recognise the benefit of a bigger crowd supporting the side. Oh.

The are no positives to going down, as much as I think it's very likely.

All the points you list are tiniest of silver flecks in a massive cloud of failure.

And as for new grounds, there's only 4 in the division below I've not done, so that's not much of a draw either.

Well Colchester have a good sniff of promotion so we might well get our proper derby match back If they go up !

Poll: If we take a battering @ Norwich this weekend will MM get the sack or stay on ?

How many years now in the Championship ... 16 ? I can't remember.

We have fallen asleep at the wheel. It serves us right. I'll bet most of us thought that our next division would be the Prem.

Well it isn't and we need a better bloody attitude. That needs to start in August. It might give us that kick up the arse we need.

There are no positives in relegation! For proof of that look at the number of teams playing in the conference who are former league teams and also the next level down where a couple of teams are !

Given our pathetic attempts to win cup games, what on earth makes you think that as a league 1 club, with all the reduced finance that goes with it, we will suddenly go on cup runs????

The fact we may play Leatherhead, Leamington Spa, Corinthians Casuals, Needham Market, Barrow, Workington, Swindon Supermarine or Corby in the 1st round of the Cup.

Even Town could beat one of those after extra time.
