In fairness, so did I.
It made perfect sense to use an apostrophe if ‘it’ possesses something, and so I would go about using ‘it’s’.
But yeah, one of those little quirks. Apparently it used to be okay to do that, but then it was changed to parallel ‘theirs’ ‘yours’ ‘hers’ and ‘his’ all of which don’t use apostrophes for possession. | |

I'm thinking of giving the Leeds game a swerve as I suspect whatever happens it's not going to be a fun day for Town fans. I'd never consider selling my ticket to a Leeds fan though, that's shameful stuff. |

Otherwise it may not be the brightest idea to sell you ticket to a Leeds fan, as you then have no control in whose hands it ends up in.
Other town fans who have turned up to support their team are likely to have some northern monkey sat among them. Is any ticket seller going to take responsibly for the grief, or violence, they may have to put up with ?
Yep some of our lot can be a pain, forever moaning or using language they would not elsewhere. But for all that they are us. They might get upset, but that is about ITFC. We accept that as part of watching the game.
We don't expect some drunken away fan to be 'giving it large', nor to have to witness said monkey being on the receiving end of any response - and if there are others you can only guess how that will proceed.
I suspect the OP is a troll on a wind up - however no Town fan should even consider putting others at 'risk' or annoyance for a few bob. Any who do should be banned from future games. | | | |
