What a joke. Kills the emotion in the game.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

It's not football is it. Had that been given a penalty that would have been the off button for me.

I make you right.

Pronouns: He/Him/His. "Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."
Poll: Selectamod

Understand your point about it taking emotion out of the game.

Have to think if it was the other way round.

Both decisions were correct at the end of the day.

Poll: Would love to know the opinions on here now of Lambert genuinely?

Agree Mr Town and it’s about getting those big decisions right. However, last night’s penalty was a different matter!!

Indeed, comes down to poor capabilities as a referee.

If you are a qualified referee who cannot make correct decisions with replays it is very concerning.

The offside call was wrong. A couple of wobbly lines drawn at an arbitrary moment in time won't convince me otherwise.

But a linesman unable to keep up with play will?

No. But I would at least get to enjoy the spectacle of a great goal.

They were correct. It is just not for me. So slow and overused. Needs regulations, a certain amount of appeals a game etc.

Yes I just about enjoyed the 2-1 win in normal time but anything that stops goals eh?
Seriously didn’t the offside rule used to relate to the torso rather than an arm, leg or toenail? Presume it’s changed.

In that instance if they’d scored one like that and it was disallowed for offside I would have honestly though it was ridiculous

What about attacks where the striker is onside but the linesman flags and play stops? How does VAR correct that one? Answer - it can't and it's now not a natural game of football.

Well in terms of person opinion on it that is fair enough, everyone will have a different view upon it.

I think the majority would agree it still needs fine tuning, but the principal could will eradicate wrong decisions.

That’s why UEFA are encouraging linesman to keep flags down.

Why bother having them then? Unless you have a VAR linesman giving instant decisions, it's totally unworkable.

Agreed, the current implementation makes linos completely redundant

blimey, it's really not that difficult. just read up. Will take you about 5 -10 minutes. You'll then understand it and we can all move on. VAR has. been about 85% improvement so far. of course there are some teething issues and things to improve. its new! in 5 years time nobody will be talking about it. It's jist better than the nonsense decisions we used to have to accept. just needs cutting down a bit.

WWC France v sKorea
Had similar vat decision as England
This took so long-but why don’t they stop the clock like in rugby?

To be fair this is not the worst of VAR because although calling back for only specified infringements unbalances the game, at least offside is objective, the subjective arguments over penalties are even worse.

Not sure what the official time was, but in regards to when referees go to the screen, that was one of the quicker ones.

Got the correct decision again though.

I'm amazed he even had to go to the screen.... or even fail to give it in the first place? Incompetent.

Poll: An interesting day for our politicians, but which one is worse?
