After reading Phil's match report 19:23 - Jul 6 with 2566 viewssundaze

I made the mistake of reading the comments underneath. Wow there are a couple of strange characters over there, one of them seems obsessed with typing # SNOWFLAKE and between them, they are going to start a revolution.
All this because we didn't win the first pre season game of the season, I must remember to stop reading once the match report has finished.

The forum isn't much better these days.

A few of us said give Jackson a chance

Most replies: he's crap

After one pre season penalty: maybe Jackson can come good

*head explodes*

Truly impaired.

Jackson could’ve scored a hat trick today and there’d still be some moaning....’That doesn’t count, that’s a friendly!’

He’s crap but he might come good

My hobbies include being quiet during trips, clapping with songs, and diabetes.

Jackson couldn't score a hat trick even if he had an open goal! Between him and Roberts they must be two of the most useless strikers we have ever had the misfortune to sign !

A rather scathing opinion of Phil there, after all he does for us.

Everyone wants the club to come good, everyone wants Jackson to do well.

What is happening, and especially the case for those who had renewed had expected a lot more in the summer in terms of bringing new faces in and frankly a complete overhaul. Now the noises are the same, no budget, free transfers, youth reliance and all that while our competition is building their teams, there is a realisation that we might not do as well as the original hype expected and we're back to shouting at each other again.

It will be just as bad if we're not top all season and don't win the League and EFL Trophy. In real terms we should be aiming for and walking away with both of those, but due to the lack of strengthening we're risking everything on the playoffs and thats a real shame as walking away with 2 trophies back into the Championship with a renewed force would have done wonders for the club. Instead it's groundhog day, just a different division and thus the meltdown over a preseason game where half the reserves played.

There was never going to be a complete overhaul as was clesrvfrom Lambert's comments towards end of season. However 4-5 signings would have been expected though there is still time.

We were losing 6-8m most years with ME having to cover that and now we’ve lost a further 7m in income. What did you think we were going to do?

We’ve brought in Holy and Norwood and I expect we’ll make a further 2-3 additions before the end of the window but we’re hardly going to bring in 10 players after the ridiculous overhaul we had last year.

Regarding your last line - we played a different eleven in each half but you say half the reserve team played. Even if all of the first team played that leaves five or six players unaccounted for...

Poll: How will we get fourteen points from the last five games ?
