Genuinely feel for Scunthorpe if he's done as much damage as he did here they could end up in the national league. They need to learn from us and bin him asap.

To be fair it sounds like Scunthorpe are playing well enough but not getting the breaks in the box - at least in the last couple of games.

Hurst’s response at the moment seems to be signing more players.

It seems extraordinary that he has gone from achieving so much at Shrewsbury and Grimsby to where he is now in so short a time. It is notable that the other ‘hot property’ at the time the 8th dwarf came here, Jack Ross, is not exactly Mr Popular in Sunderland.

Is it that managers are not given sufficient time or that they are over hyped before being found out? In Ross and Hurst’s case it would appear the latter.
