Cherry pick is perhaps a touch strong, but certainly they give more weight to sources that support the argument they want to make and will be more critical of sources that go against their argument. | |

As a military/intelligence operation maybe he's right about winning.
But the British government could never win the war of ideas, history and rights which is behind all that. The GFA and the compromises on all sides were entirely necessary on that score. |  |

you see I stopped at an MSc so never wrote a Phd nor did I look into one.
My understanding was they they were presenting facts based on research. A view was given but I'd suggest that this chap's deep involvement would give you a pragmatic one. I also feel that is the case after reading it twice now.
