Sears miss 15:54 - Mar 2 with 3575 viewsFenland_Blue

Just caught up with the highlights of Sears miss when one on one.

Not sure what was worse, that miss or the defending 30 seconds later, two let a cross come in and their bloke is unmarked despite 3 defenders around the penalty spot.

That piece of action completely summed us up.

Up and mainly down, following Town since 88

Just seen the failed flick by Garbutt. From what PL had said, I thought the mistake had led directly to the goal.

However, there were about 4 more errors before the ball went in the net.

Just needed the Benny Hill theme to finish that off.

It was poor though and he did not cover himself in glory for their winner either .

It was poor I agree, and put us in trouble.

But we had numerous chances to get out of trouble.

I guess the Oxford fans warned us... hes good going forward, but defence is not his strong point.

Yes, but there wouldn't have been the chance to make the errors if Garbutt didn't try a ridiculous flick on the edge of his own box.

It's a ridiculous thing to do.

I think the winner is worse from Garbutt. Very simple ball to cut out.

All the feedback from Oxford was that Garbutt wasn't a left back.

Ade Akinbiyi couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo...

Just as bad really . For the first goal Garbutt poor Downes not sure why he tackled Huw's and maybe Holy should have done better . For the winner Sears should have done better then Garbutt poor again then 3 defenders in the middle just waiting for the full time whistle . Quite honestly looked a bit Sunday league .

He’s not a defender. PLs fault for not addressing this, same as when Edwards makes a defensive error.

Sears missing good opportunities? Surely not..

To be honest he scored a tough chance and the first one on one looked a penalty should have done better with the stoppage time one . I wonder how many one on ones we have missed this season .

The defending for both their goals was obscenely bad. Our inability to even grind out a point is shocking.

The Garbutt flick was ridiculous but we completely recovered and then Downes tackles Huws when he is carrying the ball out of defence.

Downes has had a fantastic season and is rightly player of the season I am sure but that was a ridiculous thing for him to do that led directly to the goal.
