No Coronavirus in Suffolk on 21:48 - Mar 8 with 3361 views | Oldsmoker | The hot spots seem to be areas where jetsetters live - they travel abroad. Of course those same jetsetters visit glamorous places in the UK too. That's possibly why Suffolk has escaped so far.

Southwold is more niche bourgeois. Those types wouldn't be seen dead with a virus.

The advice is that you won't catch it unless you are in close proximity with someone who has it for more than 15 mins. Don't worry, spending 2 hours at a football stadium doesn't count if you were wearing a blue scarf.

It's more complicated than that. For instance, the virus can survive on a surface for hours (some research says days but it's not really confirmed). If you touch that surface then your eye or mouth then you're very likely to catch it. A door handle would be a good example. Hence the constant reminders to wash hands regularly. SB

I'm sure there were thousands of free hand sanitisers at Portman rd on saturday and of course all football fans wash their hands after using the urinals. Nothing to worry about then.

The alarming thing is what you've already posted. It can take 2 weeks to manifest and you could be a carrier for those 2 weeks. Your point is confirmed by googling SARS. The articles I read were after the SARS virus had gone so there was no money to be made or scare story to be spread by the authors so I take those findings as the real deal. We are at the tip of an iceberg. A good job we have a competent PM and Health secretary to deal with it. Oh sh*t.

But then i've seen a doctor on one of the BBC/ ITV news programmes say it barely lasts 5 minutes on surfaces.
