I'm starting to think CiL was in fact Mauricio...

Dunno, I just felt it was a bit odd to link investing in crypto as a gateway to bat sh1t conspiracies. A lot of crypto industry talk in government and finance right now has been raising the idea to help tackle the oncoming recessions. Don’t ask me the ins and outs though as I ain’t that clued up!

I know what you're saying, but there's been a long history of alt-righters and libertarian nutjobs jumping on the crypto wagon as some sort of panacea. So there is a link there.

I was linking it more to being anti-Government with regards to not trusting the state re money, and then from there. We were going to sell a house to a guy setting up his own, but he was a total dreamer - millions in the bank but couldn't out down a £10k deposit. Was offering to give us a load on top for the inconvenience, and still is in contact asking for land etc when he has no money

Well his actions at West Ham showed him to be a very honest and decent individual, not many players would have done what he did back then.

Nutters are capable of decency. Still nutters though.

Right wingers also love wearing England shirts in this country though, you can’t link Crypto that way. Take your point on about anti-government stuff though Joe. But then again I’m pretty anti-government and understand why people might want to take that extra effort. I personally wouldn’t mind living off the grid if it wasn’t the world’s biggest ballache.

"Bitcoin’s not a bad investment if you understand it." Investment is a bit much, it's more of a gamble given how volatile it is.

Maybe, but then again it’s no more a gamble other stuff peoplE waste money on. But I’m such a cynic these days I don’t understand what joy people get from money if they have enough to spend it on materialistic things already.

It is if you have no idea how that market it works. Especially given how cult like Bitcoin proponents are, it's very easy to get sucked into the whole deal. There are much safer ways to make money if you're looking to play the market without really knowing what you're doing as it's all opening up a bit.
