will be in a classroom on 1 June, having been told specially not to have ppe or observe social distancing? Brandon Lewis (a man with no experience of what goes on in a primary school) has gone on tv to say children need to learn social distancing. Like a load of 4-5 year olds aren’t going to cough, sneeze, snot and puke like they always do in all directions! They are also very tactile. I know other countries are quoted but in France the rules are being enforced like prisons. Italy and Spain aren’t reopening until September.

But no, the nine unions are just being bolshie for the sake of it apparently. This “national unity” is being politised already. Teachers, who have worked throughout this crisis, will be vilified as old-fashioned wreckers. The Tories and Mail readers want a war where there shouldn’t be one.

Something about 'But Corbyn' and 'Political point scoring'.

Pronouns: He/Him/His. "Imagine being a heterosexual white male in Britain at this moment. How bad is that. Everything you say is racist, everything you say is homophobic. The Woke community have really f****d this country."
Poll: Selectamod

I don't think I would send a child under 9 to skool if they are going to be made to play in chalked off boxes in the playground.

"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
Poll: If the choice is Moore or no more.

But the alternative is? Sitting in your garden not playing with other kids?

Poll: This new lockdown poll - what you reckon?

Being in close proximity to other kids but not allowed to play in the way they normally would? I don’t want my wife stuck in the middle. Neither do I want her being vilified for having serious doubts or being tagged a a “hero “ if / when she falls ill. I would sooner she, the pupils and their families were not being left so exposed.

Nope ....send them off on appropriately distanced bike rides!! ;) Picnics in rucksack and a run around some woods.

There is no easy answer to this. My son and daughter in law, along with many other teachers, travel into school a couple of times a week to run classes for the kids of key workers. On other days they work to provide internet based lessons. For weeks now these teachers have been traveling to and from work, exposed to others and potential infection. They are also key workers, though this seems to get little recognition.
My son gets home from work and has to immediately strip off, shower and places his clothes in the laundry so as to protect his one year old.
I think the teaching unions have a responsibility to ensure that before schools return full time medical opinion and advice supports such a decision. At the moment it is not clear they do.

The DM reader claims that her husband pays tax on the the income he can't hide from the taxman and anyone who gets paid by the government should bloomin well do want she wants them to do. She doesn't want the kids in the house because they get in the way of the cleaner and it interferes with her socialising and shopping.

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

The tories are in disarray.

They’re presiding over a shambolic response to a national crisis and are leading us inexorably towards the second highest death toll in the world (whilst trying to tell us they’ve done really well).

Their leader is being humiliated weekly and his aura has disappeared entirely (is it just me or does he look like an old man all of a sudden).

Several of their MP’s, including a minister, have been caught red handed using child abuse to spread malicious and false videos for political gain. None of whom have even had the basic decency to apologise.

My social media is an extremely good bellwether of the mood of the nation, majority Brexit and Boris supporting. One by one they’re turning, “I’ve always backed Boris but.....”

So of course they’re going to try and pick a fight with a union, spreading division and bile is their MO and they’ll utilise their mates in the press more than ever now.

It’ll work on many, so invested in the cult that they can’t see through it, but hopefully the tide is turning against this cabal of self-serving, amoral, incompetent fcukwits that have somehow ended up running our great country.

Steady on you are being a little unfair to the good ol' boys in the US of A.

There population is 6 x greater than ours... so their shambolic leaderless response has been far less deadly than our shambolic leaderless response.
