Cummings reprise (yeah, I know, move on, etc) 11:10 - May 30 with 3579 viewsartsbossbeard

Just realised I'd actually got the story wrong.

I was under the impression that once he'd tested his eyesight by driving to a castle on his wife's birthday, they'd carried on with their journey to London after picking their stuff up from the Durham house with his name on the deeds.

I hadn't grasped that they didn't travel back south til the day after, which, if possible, makes the whole thing worse and makes us, the general public, look even more stupid.

Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

I swear, the whatabouttery train must have been privatised and taken over by Southern Rail at some time in the past few weeks, because it's becoming increasingly piss-poor in quality.

It was never very good in the first place, particularly as it tended to rely on charlatans like guido for 'facts'.

This is going on and on! But why is nobody actually concerned that an elected politician drove from Wales (who have a stricter lock down than us) to London to visit Kinnock senior for his birthday and then drove back? Kinnock was actually spoken to by the police and warned but this seems to be ok?
After all none of us were supposed to drive round the corner let alone Wales to London and back for a birthday bash!
Was that not going out for a jolly?

Jesus Christ, surely you don’t really need the very obvious and very important differences explained to you?

Kinnock was idiotic btw.

I know the difference but the point was why I s no one actually bothered about what he done.
Still I am not really supposed to actually ask other people’s opinions.

Well I’m bothered, it was ridiculous behaviour and he should face severe consequences.

What do you think of our de facto PM travelling across the country to his second home, with coronavirus and then heading out on a tourist trip for his wife’s birthday?

Who are we talking about facing consequences Kinnock or Cummings? I know people are bothered about Cummings but what about Kinnock is no one bothered about that?
And as for Cummings I have said he is behaviour was stupid!

Kinnock.

So Cummings was stupid and therefore the defence of him hopelessly misjudged and potentially weakening public trust in the government in the middle of a public health emergency.

Kinnock drove to drop some stuff over to his parents, same as Robert Jenrick. Neither were fired and rightly so. This is completely different.

Cummings' wife was showing symptoms yet he still went into work afterwards and then drove half the length of the country. And went for a jolly for his wife's birthday.

While what Kinnock and Jenrick did is also wrong, it doesn't undermine the credibility of the government's messaging as neither work at Number 10. Nor did either of them have half of the cabinet willing to throw public safety under the bus for their mate.

If it is revealed he is on the autistic spectrum would it all be ok?

Just wondered as it would help to account for his complete lack of empathy any obsessive nature.
