In his infinite wisdom, the PM is apparently in favour of kids going to summer classes.
Three questions on that:
1. Where do they plan to hold these classes, as schools are simply not big enough to accommodate socially distanced students, in that quantity?
2. Who is going to teach them, as teachers are only contracted for a certain number of days? Whether he likes it or not, teachers have worked their likes arrises off to get lessons out to their students, and will have used up those days.
3. Related to the previous, assuming he can find staff willing to work over the summer, they should do it pro bono - how will they fund this? |  | | |  |

You dont understand evidence.
I have direct experience and I have explained that. That is evidence. You may not like it- and it may not be incontrvertible proof. But it is evidence.
I haven't denigrated "many members of a hard working profession". I have explained what a number of schools- including several in my area, appear be doing. |

Thats not a hole is it? Its still clear evidence of what is happening. My daughter gets a worksheet about three times a week, mostly pre-prepared ones from a third party provider. The rest of her class get the same.

That does sound sub-optimal from that specific school. We get a 40 page PDF on the Friday for the following weeks work although that still never lasts past Tuesday morning so I need to set them extra stuff for the rest of the week which is fine.
I think the experience differs wildly by school. I've had conversations which friends and family where their schools aren't offering anything like the above. It's a hard situation for everyone.
Also just got an email 5 minutes ago confirming that the school will not be open for other year groups above those currently attending until after the summer holidays.

Erm no, tell me which part of appears to is actual evidence, you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes at that school whatsoever, they may have a higher than average number of key worker children there, they may have a higher number of teachers who got sick, they may be needing to redeploy staff but hey don’t let it get in the way of what appears to be happening now will you? | |
