Not a lot of fun is it?

Sitting here getting sweaty and trying to focus on work isn't exactly resulting in peak productivity!

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

It's crap. What's worse my mouse is so sweaty (not a euphemism) that I keep clicking on TWTD by mistake.

My usual office is the conservatory, unbearable when its more than 27 degrees outdoors. I've decamped to the garden but its very hard to see the laptop properly. With 4 people in the house working at home isn't great at the moment. 😡😩

Our AC is struggling with the Spanish heat. It doesn’t bode well for West Africa.

Our sewage system is on its last legs too.
Still, at least I can open my window. Let some air in, and empty my bucket out whilst shouting “heads”.

Or for those hanging over the railings to avoid using a bucket....."tails!"

I guess the problem is that it's not hot enough on a regular enough basis to make ACs common or worth it in British houses. I notice that when we come back over the summer British houses seem to retain heat and be hot as balls.

It's hot as balls here with crippling humidity from June to October, but there's no sweaty nads in this house thanks to sweet sweet AC. Aw yiiis.

Quite an interesting article on AC:

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/aug/29/the-air-conditioning-trap-ho

The US uses as much energy on AC as the UK uses for everything and if uptake continues globally it will produce 13% of all emissions by 2050 (roughly the same as India).

At least new houses are designed with more effort to be cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter so perhaps it won't happen in developing countries.
