Has anyone achieved anything in 2020 that they're particularly proud of as a result of having a bit more free time on their hands? Whether it be due to furlough, breaks from employment or saving time on a commute?
I told myself in "lockdown 1" that I would use the 10 hours per week I'll get back from commuting to learn French but it hasn't really got going. I was sh1t at it at school and I still am now. Without immediate gratification I tend to lose interest quickly and haven't given it the attention it needed over summer. Turns out it wasn't not having enough time that's prevented me doing it for the past 10 years worth of new years resolutions :)
Not a literal achievement as such but I brought myself back from a really dark place I was in for most of this year. There was points when I was confident I wouldn’t see the other side so I’m taking that as a win. Onwards and upwards.
Brilliant idea for a thread btw. Great to see so many positive posts.
Big win. Really big win.

Finally broke 45 minutes for 10km last night. To be honest, I'm probably closer to 43 minutes if I did a flat out TT, but had a good tempo session last night that turned into a 44:31 10km
Along with losing 2.5 stone and breaking 5km and HM PBs since march, can probably safely say I'm as fit as I've ever been.
