What are we hoping for tomorrow then? 15:23 - Nov 30 with 2619 views | SpruceMoose | 1) A fine performance and a thumping win, which will only serve to paper over the cracks? 2) Play terribly but squeeze out a win, highlighting lamberts cluelessness but still picking up three points to keep us in the picture? 3) Get hammered and possibly hasten Lambert's exit? 4) Something else. I'm very confused about this game. Honestly I don't know how to feel but as I can't quite bring myself to go for option 3, it'll have to be option 2 (assuming option 4 isn't something like Lambert being sacked tonight). Blurgh.

What are we hoping for tomorrow then? on 16:08 - Nov 30 by OsborneOneNil | It would be horrible to take, but if we lost 3/4-0 at struggling Oxford, you'd think that would be curtains. |
I thought a loss on Saturday would be curtains.

What are we hoping for tomorrow then? on 16:01 - Nov 30 by MrTown | Do you think Evans will pay up 4 years? Doubt it. Needs to f*ck off, but doubt he will any time this year. |
MEG can hardly have much liquidity at the moment, what with relying on live events, corporate hospitality and conferencing... It is all soooo typical of the Curse of ITFC. Surely he has to pull the trigger sharpish though.

Covid saved his job last year, it's probably going to save it again. ME just will not payout, we know what he is like. The hospitality business is rock bottom right, huge loses. He isn't going to pay 4 years up on a contract for a manager and backroom staff.

If it weren't Saturday, won't be this season. Sucked the life out of the season in November, fair play to Lambert, another achievement he's managed. Really good side, much better place, we're nae normal.

If Lambert isn't resigning he's committed to paying it anyway. The only question is whether he's willing to employ someone competent to run the football team or not. If I were Evans I would be ordering Lambert to do a sit-down 1 hour live-streamed interview with Phil Ham to build bridges, and if he said no I'd try and dismiss him for breach of contract. Bookmarking this. The idea that he's just going to let the next four years play out without significant improvement is daft.

What are we hoping for tomorrow then? on 15:28 - Nov 30 by BlueBadger | 1. That Man gets the sack 2. Phil reinstated 3. Evans sells up to Bill Gates, who immediately promises to completely restructure the club and put in place people who know what they're doing. 4. Penelope Cruz replies to my invitation to go out for a drink in the affirmative. |
4. The Affirmative is a really good pub. She'll love that start to the evening. Not quite so sure about the rest of the evening. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He wont wait four years but will delay until it is too late to save this season. So we will be totally fooked and in the worst position possible. This would be entirely in keeping with his light touch 'management' of the club. I am afraid I come down on Mr Towns side on this. Would always want a win and the result is going to make no difference to Lambert's employment anyway. [Post edited 30 Nov 2020 17:25]
