Devann Yao was the American kid - looks like he is still playing

Marco Holster and Jonas Axedal should both be on the list - and who could forget Norwegian teacher Vemund Brekke Skard

On that note, I remember seeing Lee Durrant beat a couple of players and hit the outside of the post at home to someone rubbish in the early nineties, and I was convinced we'd got a serious talent on our hands.

Yes, it's easy to be deceived. I saw Sean Friars score a superb 30 yard free kick goal in a pre-season friendly at Clarence Park, the home of St Albans City. Career ruined allegedly by addiction issues.

Cameron Stewart?

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Hard to believe that someone, who was so highly rated as he was, has had such a disappointing career. Hadn’t had a club for almost three seasons - not sure if that’s through choice or not.

I’d actually put him down as more of an expensive failure than a cheap on - think he was on a fair bit in comparison to other players at the time.

Wasn't there vague whispers of rather severe attitude problems?

That rings a bell.

If the case, maybe one day he’ll regret not taking his career as seriously as what he should have done.

Yes, MM dug him out publicly several times, iirc.

I think there must be a mid-sized village somewhere in Ireland composed entirely of failed ITFC signings. Colin Healy is mayor, and George O'Callaghan runs the off-licence.

This....There must be at least a whole team of MMs young signings from across the water.
