Drogba got him qualified for the Ivory Coast, hence Hype's joke. In addition to that, Steve Clarke put in a lot of work to get Frank to West Hma having worked with him at Chelsea. A lot of people thought he was going to have a big future.

Brendan Rodgers (who would would have worked with him in the youth setup at Chelsea) brought him on loan to Swansea. He had a bit of a stinker, was laughed at a few times and was then shipped back to Chelsea pretty quickly. Didn't look like a footballer compared to the people they had down here at the time.
