Christmas paper recycling.... on 21:31 - Dec 25 by jeera
I'm going to stick my neck out and say Sellotape needs to be disposed of separately.
I think plain paper is the way to go now isn't it, that glossy stuff is just wasteful.
Trust you had a good day and that the pilchards were cooked to perfection.
This advice is pretty much spot on. Any actual paper is good, but all the plastic coated stuff cannot be recycled. Ideally sellotape to be taken off, but being realistic a bit in with the recycling won't do too much harm.
Recycling sorting facilities hate this time of year as so much rubbish gets put in the recycling and it becomes very difficult to sort it.
Merry Christmas everyone by the way!
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Unwrap carefully removing all sellotape. Neatly fold to use next year.

So pleased to see this thread. On Xmas day , one of my main duties in the Britbiker household is head of recycling.
Really pleased to see how little plastic we had this year. However was debating doing away with all bows and ribbons next year plus swapping xmas paper for something more environmently friendly.
Was thinking it was just me being an eco bore. Also have a problem with cheap crackers. Loads of waste for a pile of gifts that go direct to the bin. Maybe will have to find a reusable cracker that can be filled with something of use.

It looks as though it should be doesn't it, and we use so damn much of the stuff.
I was going to say no, because I haven't yet come across a council that accepts it, but a quick look around suggests I am wrong and that some plants do recycle the stuff:
