Was an absolute BEAST for me on this year's FM.

On that basis, Lambert IN.

Feels a bit pointless. We have competent options upfront. The brainless system is the problem.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

So that's what he's been doing when off sick. If a copy of FM is all our scouting department can afford, then serious questions need to be asked.

It's FM '94.

I know your post is tongue-in-cheek anyway but the issue isn't with Lambert's ability to bring reasonably good players in. The issue is with that he does with them once they are in the door.

Lambert has had plenty of time to impose a style, build a team and instil discipline to them. What he has produced is a team that creates few chances and is not especially solid defensively. We need a proper tactician at the club working with the players in training as well as advising on the bench on a match day. We also need a proper team of fitness specialists helping players to avoid injury and ensuring their recovery is properly managed.

If Lambert could work with all of this and get it sorted, I would accept him as manager. Why has he made no positive developments on these fronts in the time he has been here, though?

Agreed. As you say, it's tongue-in-cheek, but yes. He doesn't develop players. I know MM has his detractors, but he definitely improved a lot of the players he brought in on loan - and most of them have gone on to bigger and better things (Fraser, AMN, Lawrence, Celina).

Can you name a single player Lambert has brought in who has improved the team? I can think of one, KVY, who was immediately struck down by the Banter Era Curse.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

He's a very good player. Parrot, Thomas, Harrop, Bishop, Dozzell, Norwood, Downes.

Feck me, if only ME would get shot of the busted flush we've got managing them all before it's too late to save our season.

And this is what it boils down to isn't it? Still have the same cretin managing them.
