Evans’ handling of the Lambert situation is equally as bad as Lambert’s 23:04 - Feb 9 with 967 viewsdavblue

Management

It’s as if they are having a go and who can be the worst at their job.....

I really don’t know what Evans is doing, this is as bad if not worse than the end of Micks time here, it’s just not good enough at any level. His head is firmly in the sand at the moment like the coaching staffs after Taylor’s comments tonight.

Treat people with respect which at the minute the owner after his comments at the end of last year and and the coaching team aren’t. There’s a way of saying we aren’t quite at the races today without being too critical rather Than saying we were really good when in pretty much most cases we aren’t.

I’ve said this before but there really is nothing else that can be said anymore, everything has been covered multiple times by hundreds of people.

Hey what a sh1t show club we support at the minute.

Beyond Evans' sluggishness in sacking people, I'm always surprised that he doesn't seem to tell his managers that making nice with the media and fans is part of the bloody job, even if they don't like it.

That goes for Mick more than Lambert, given that Mick was a good coach, who would have potentially lasted longer if he'd done that.

He’s an odd one.

Financially he supports the club - but everything reverts back to the same thing with him - decision making.

His decision making is appalling - and has led to an excuse of a football club on its knees

- overfunding managers that didn’t deserve it
- underfunding the only manager that did deserve
- ridiculous overseeing of transfer terror under Paul Hurst
- 5 year deal for Paul Lambert after relegation
- Sticking with Paul Lambert after he led us to 11th in L1
- Repeated backings of Lambert as he once again leads our slide down the League 1 table

Paul Lambert will leave this club one day (sooner the better) - ME will still over see the football club, but with no clue on how to do so.

Poll: Would love to know the opinions on here now of Lambert genuinely?

Mind you, he'd have also been justified in telling fans not to be such fannies when talking about Mick, unlike when we've complained about Lambert.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Justified or not, fans aren't paid by the club to behave themselves in certain ways.

If Lambert was selling sticky buns for MEG, at the local council meet, he would have had his marching orders by now....

Evans is the one constant in our relentless decline and his ownership has been nothing more than one disaster after another. Expecting him to handle any situation well at the club is a triumph of hope over experience!

It's the easiest thing in the world for a competent owner, any competent manager of people really, to control, as well.

Just simply, rationally, explain what the standards are for engaging with the fans and the press, why those standards exist (To make everyone's life easier! To reduce friction with people who are actually on our side!) and that you expect them to be met as a part of your contractual obligations. Periodically reiterate whenever they aren't being met.

It shouldn't be that hard.
