The use of the third umpire in this match is abysmal, there’s two really poor decisions in a few minutes. I can accept the benefit of the doubt with the stumping but to not review the part of the action that England actually reviewed is inexplicable.

A proper spin bowler who can build pressure is the one thing this England side is missing. We can get away with it quite often but on a pitch like this (and no doubt for the next 2 matches) we get exposed a bit.

"First session slightly in England's favour, second session firmly India's. Need to continue to make the third session England's to get back into the match. Love how Test match cricket get move momentum between the teams. However, if the pitch is difficult to play, they already have a total that will make it difficult for us."
We could have done with a couple more wickets in that last session for 20-30 fewer runs. As it is, going to need to get the last 4 quickly tomorrow. They are well in charge. |  |
