I'd assume Police will be on two cases - damage to property and breach of Covid regs.

Only if damage has actually been caused, individuals are easily identified and that they are from different households and not socially distanced. I guess, if they are from further than walking or cycling distance away there is the argument that they have made an unnecessary journey. Maybe there is a public nuisance/disorder relating to the flares but not sure about that.

I'm sure a pound or two from each of us and any fines will soon be covered.

All really depends on how far the Police want to go and if the club really do believe there is damage and want to press charges. For example, Blue Action Twitter contacts/owner would be passed on if they asked Twitter in the 'right' way. As for not the same household, we aren't Norwich :)

There were about 3 people on a footpath plus someone else filming it from a completely different part of the path. They could easily have remained 2 metres apart. As for damage, are you suggesting that either there were flares thrown but it wasn't filmed or the club has set fire to something to show some damage has been caused? [Post edited 15 Feb 2021 21:41]

Daily Mail picked it up then on 20:35 - Feb 15 by SitfcB | In a statement released to Sportsmail, a club spokesman said: 'There was an incident at the training ground this morning where flares were thrown over a perimeter fence adjacent to the players. The flares caused signage on the fence to catch alight and in doing so put our staff at risk. The police were called and are investigating the matter. The supporters’ group concerned have apologised for their actions. ' Bloody hell they’ve over hyped that a bit!! |
Talking out of their backsides. War on the support continues.
