Do we think PL has days, weeks? 11:54 - Feb 18 with 713 viewsIP4_Blue

Do we think Evans is already made up and is lining up a replacement? Or do we think a win on sat which I don’t think will happen will give him more time

Doe's it matter now? Season is a write off. Remember when Evans kept Mick in post after it was agreed he was leaving and that saga went on for months before we had a new manager and after all that we ended up with Paul Hurst. I wouldn't get overly excited either way.

I can't see the logic in the keeping him in place until we find a replacement theory. I know Evans has form here but it's quite clear Lambert is a very dark cloud over the club. Chances are we will lose games until he leaves. I don't understand not giving the job to someone else on a temporary basis for a couple of games just to give us a bit more chance.

I know Klug doesn't want it but there must be someone who can do a job for a couple of games. A couple of weeks being coached/led by Dyer and Bramble would probably be good for the players. Both respected local players who made it big. Surely they are a better option than leaving Lambert there until someone else comes in?

Truly impaired.

We will win the occasional game. Suspect that’s what Evans is hoping for.

I agree get rid now and put Dyer in temporary charge

Lambert’s position is untenable now. The only reason he’s not been removed and replaced with a caretaker must be financial.

It's unbelievable isn't it. We have just put in one of our worst performances ever and Lambert followed that off by slagging off the club with comments that were clearly aimed for Evans.

Untenable is putting it lightly! Neither Lambert or Evans appears to have a modicum of Self respect or dignity.

If it was going to happen it would have done so by now, 4 more years of the stability contract to go. 'Green shoots'

I've given up trying to parse how the club hierarchy thinks. Most clubs would've dismissed Lambert after relegation. 99% of clubs would have dismissed him after last season. 100% would have got him gone after Swindon at home.

Impossible to know what the thinking is.

Ever since we played Peterborough I've been thinking tomorrow. Each game passes and tomorrow passes again.

I think Evans is hoping Paul quits. Paul is waiting for pay off. Its gonna a be a long long drawn out process

Never be afraid to share your thoughts.

Maybe he wants to go but Evans is threatening legal action if he quits. We will never know the truth because even if Lambert tells all no one will believe him and just say its sour grapes. I think if you listened to Mick Mills he is probably more aware at what goes on than us and it is more likely to be the summer when he goes.
Evans probably knows this season is done and just writing it off to start again in the summer.
