Nuclear warheads are the the governmental equivalent of a brand new BMW - a w@nky statement of 'status' from pitiful inadequates who'd be far better served on actually spending it on something practical that will work for the family.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

At least you get to drive a BMW.
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."

And more specifically, a BMW that sits in the garage and is never used.
(Mind you, the ones I've been in have been very well built).

Does anyone want nuclear arms in the world? Or see the point in us having them?
We’re a tiny p1ssing island that lost its empire 70 years ago and needs to get over it.
We certainly do not have the capacity of Russia or the United States, nor are we ever likely to match them. But we do have the capacity to annihilate all life on the surface of this Earth (and probably just about all just below the surface) so that's all right then, why add to the stockpile...
And we will never match the Russians for ruthlessness (or the Finns, and they don't even have nuclear weaponry) so we should steer clear of depleted uranium and the like.
Which should leave the way clear for a massive increase in conventional armed forces, shouldn't it?

If the UK was a person, we'd be in therapy now.
With this government's approach to mental health it'd be more likely on remand waiting forever for a psychiatric assessment, before being punted out on the streets to fend for itself.

OH DO ME DO ME.
Felt this one personally, if 2019 had of beat me and put me in the ground it would certainly be thanks to the current regime and their fantastic cuts to MH services.
