It's an absolute sh!tshow out there, various shipments taking 3-4 weeks to arrive, shipments lost somewhere in the north sea and no one has any idea where they are, archaic paperwork, mammoth delays all over the place.
I thought one of the main reasons why people voted for Brexit was to remove the bureaucracy and red tape, we have ended up with far more!

Yes. A lot of builders merchants and DIY stores are extremely low on stock in some areas. Stuff like studwork timber and plasterboard, you have to shop around to find sufficient supplies. Sanding discs seem to be almost unobtainable. Mostly down to stuff being stuck in Europe unable to get here. |  |

In the field I work in, we've seen a real upside. Having said that, it's nothing but opportunism, it's not an underlying benefit of Brexit per se.
I think there's more down than up. So many webshops haven't been able to fulfil orders into the EU for the past 3 months due to the hauliers refusing to. It's starting to come back but my friends business has lost half its revenue over the 1st quarter of this year. |  |
