Doz has had a terrible game today - but people are questioning his mentality and painting him with a "big man ego" (Chat room) which is WAY over the top. The lad is nothing but humble, however - he does need to show more than he is. [Post edited 2 Apr 2021 16:44]

Exactly.
He's playing as the only "defensive" midfielder with Judge and Bishop given the freedom to roam. He made a mistake but he's also the only player the defence can actually pass to as nobody else offers themselves.
I fear this is a bit to subtle for a few though.
It's not a free pass, he needs to improve, it's just context.

Some decent coaching might help. He’s the type of player that’d really benefit from it. I’m reminded, albeit at a totally different level, of Raheem Stirling in that in his early years I thought him ineffectual and a waste of a shirt. Talent - so what if you can’t do anything with it. Then through good coaching, hard work and experience he became a really hurtful player.
It may be with some of these players that in a proper professional environment, in a proper team with half way decent coaching some of them might show a lot more. That’s my hope, anyway. |  | | |
