What are these pillocks who'd rather be a protest group than a government upset about now?

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

If the past 5 or 6 years have taught us anything it’s that the Labour right aren’t interested in government unless it’s the Labour right in government.

Failing that, they’d much rather have a Tory government as it’s close enough to how they think and keeps their snouts in the left hand-side of the trough.

The left of the Labour Party are more concerned about governing the party than they are of governing the country.

That’s not exactly borne out by what happened under Corbyn and since.

Arguably Corbyn should have been less accommodating to the Labour right in the PLP and at Party HQ who were briefing and campaigning against him throughout. Since then the Labour right have been ruthless in taking control of the party from top to bottom and all the way to local level.

A new leadership indeed.

If you read the manifestos you’d know that’s wrong.

I’d also raise those in power are much less interested in running a country based on the last year’s evidence.

If it helps you see it like that. In which case, where were all the people criticising the actions of the PLP, the Change UK lot, Labour HQ and the centrist commentariat who at no stage were helping get the Tories out but promoting their own interests?

But FWIW I don’t see politics like football teams. If I disagree with a party and what it stands for then I’ll support someone else like the Greens or the SNP. I see the current Labour incarnation as not much better than the Tories – and long-term dangerous and Tory -enabling by being so pointless and empty.

I was very critical of Change UK.

Fair enough, I guess that makes sense if that's how you feel about the current Labour party.

Cheers.

Yeah, I was by no means a supporter pre-2015. As, for the majority of my life, they’ve always occupied and blocked the space where a social democratic/democratic socialist alternative needs to be.
