I don't know we have any players who probably wouldn't do fine in a different team and I've seen pretty much all of them show signs that they are better players than they appear on any given matchday for us. I've watched us for 40 years and just don't understand this team.

Easier to name one player you REALLY do want to see next season playing for Town.

Downes.

He's absolutely dreadful. There must be a contractual reason why he's still playing, it's the only thing I can think of.

Not gonna lie. For a few weeks I was on the fence " there is something there"

But last weeks games did it for me. Bloody useless

Its not even the lack of and end product. It's the continued turning into players or facing the wrong way when receiving the ball.

Hes fallen into Drinan category for me. Runs alot is direct but just not good enough for this level of football.

He looks like a really raw, street footballer who has some technical ability but absolutely no positional or decision making sense at all. It's OK at 14, but it's not so smart at 22. Presumably, given the environments he's been playing in and opportunities he's had, there's just no coaching him to think a little smarter in and out of possession.

Yeah I'm sure not his failures are those that can be coached. Sometimes you just arent naturally gifted to make it at a certain level.

He may end up shocking us. But when weve had the likes of lee Martin. Ian Westlake. Etc in similar roles. I'd say hes been the worst of them all.
