Flouncing levels reach a new high (or is it a new low) 10:14 - May 13 with 839 viewsBrightonBlue

Unbelievable levels of flouncing this week. The week starts with people complaining that not enough players were released. Two days later the same people complain when the cull is wider than initially thought.

Cook has a successful precedent of such culls, with immediate success thereafter. None of the players have ripped it up over the last few years. Something significant needs to happen. Maybe just maybe the current crop aren't good enough. Our homegrown first team players aren't actually that young anymore. There is potentially a better crop of younger players coming through and we need some fresh recruitment.

The speed of which people have turned on Cook is alarming and representative of the pitfalls of social media. Perhaps we should employ a new manager every three to six months.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

It's certainly cluttering the board up and making it a bit unusuable. Fair enough, people have concerns. It just all seems a bit premature to worry about it all now. We don't know how the new management team are involved in this and we don't know what our future squad looks like.

Well, people had made their list, checked it twice and Paul Cook's list was different.

Exactly.

I'm keen to see how the next 3 months pan out. Let's be honest, we've been pants over the last x number of years. We need something to happen, and it is.

This is about the 4th or 5th 'calling out' of flouncing etc.

Strange times for TWTD.

Everyone clamouring for the players that they despise to be slung out, but when it comes to their own misguided favourites, it’s suddenly viewed as Cook not knowing what he’s doing.
It’s a funny old game.

That's the strangest part for me. Posters who i generally perceive to be more measured and level headed are shooting from the hip. All very reactionary and dramatic.
