Dear old Auntie 22:27 - May 20 with 4166 views | Lord_Lucan | I shun most things political and the like on here these days because it's pointless. Hooever - The BBC / Diana / Bashir thing is absolutely mind blowing. It's a genuine Gate!!

A dozen times? I've seen it around 80 times. Just not for around 30 years!

I remember that. Can't recall his name but he was also Maverick [?]. There was some good stuff about back then but that was maybe a little grown up for me. Now I was more of a Six Million Dollar Man kinda guy. It was a lot of money in those days...

Steve Austin simply cannot be found on catch up or illegal channels - I know, I've searched. James Rockford was cool, as was Petrocelli. We seem to be leaving BBCGATE. You are in NonFactualBlue's payroll.

I was reciting the lines from the opening scene, yes! 1984/85 ish, I had spotted a VHS copy of it in my local garage in Stoke Park; it was in a 'bargain bin' for a fiver. (I think that's right). I know a fiver sounds a lot for mid 80s but films were expensive to buy then. Even the out of date ones. I was flat sharing, we were teenagers and there were a lot of people in and out of that place. That film was on pretty much 24 hours a day for some time.

"We seem to be leaving BBCGATE." I asked you if it's worth watching and you haven't replied yet! I'll have a watch if it's revealing in any way. I did see the original interview and assumed it was just a rerun of that. Guessing not then?

Not much really Except that Bashir got bank statements doctored so as to make Diana believe that her friends and confidents were against her in order to secure an interview of which her brother, Wills and Harry now blame for the start of things that led to her death.

Fecking holy what? He was supposed to be one of the good guys wasn't he? Corrupt as hell then. I wasn't aware things went this deep. I've been obliviously humming and singing along to John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles and the like for the past couple of hours.

Had a skim through all that, thanks. So Bashir was too unwell to answer questions last year and has recently resigned as this refuses to go away. Made himself a wealthy man and a celebrity in his own right by chasing these gigs hasn't he. I do hope there's something in the law somewhere to make him accountable. Also what else has he done to influence people to trust him enough for an interview and how much has he manipulated the content? Agree that as far as the BBC corp goes this is indicative of a time when fat cats ruled the roost and gaining an audience at any cost was more important than decent values. See the cover-ups regarding the filth behind the scenes that all led to Yewtree et al. [Post edited 21 May 2021 0:02]

It was off the back of Bashir's interview with Michael Jackson that the latter ended up in court on child molestation charges - of which he was aquitted. Which was pretty much the start of his final decline.

Dear old Auntie on 01:18 - May 21 with 2028 views | jeera | Saw a clip where Bashir said although he apologises for the mock-up, that he remains convinced she [Diana] would have given that interview anyway. No need for the mock-up then was there Bashir?

Did Petrocelli live in a mobile home type thing? Barry Foster? Saw a film with him in recently on Talking Pictures, 'Fear Is The key'. 'Vanishing Point' was another of his.

Bashir was a dishonest nd devious barsteward. The BBC covered it up for 30 years. That's pretty much it. It's certainly right that Bashir and the BBC should get hammered, although it's also a convenient distraction while we lose control of the Indian variant.

It's also a great excuse for the tabloids to point and say 'Look what the BBC did to our sainted Diana'.

Oh don't be so daft Swansea, this is massive. It's not just about Bashir it's about the BBC cover up that has been revealed in the Dyson report. Dianas death is a direct result of this, absolutely. Diana, a vulnerable women, was told so many lies that she refused protection because she was led to believe everyone was conspiring against her. If she still had protections she would absolutely never have been allowed to get into that car. Now here is something else for you to choke on, if it hadn't been for some genuinely brilliant journalism by The daily Heil it may never have surfaced. The more you read into this the bigger it becomes. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9602207/Dyson-report-revealed-BBC-attem [Post edited 21 May 2021 8:37]
