Let’s be fair here , that was the ONLY pace of football ever demanded under Paul Lambert .... walking football ! And the WHOLE Squad never broke above walking past e for 3 years . So when a proper manager comes in who demands an increased tempo they literally , physiologically can’t reproduce it - any of them !
There was also no pace demanded under McCarthy either with the tippy tappy , knock it around for in your own half before we’d inevitably hoofed it into oblivion and gave the ball away . Ridiculous style of play under both managers . |  |
