New Home Kit Released on 21:37 - Jun 3 by itfcjoe | I think when you see it from any distance they are very minor details, the trim, collar, cuffs, fact slightly different blue on arms etc makes it very similar, more so than any of our 2 kits in last 20 years or so and they are a year apart - previous poster makes good point about when it was signed off. I like both this kit, and the 19/20, but they are basically the same kit |
I was taking issue with "chevrons and pinstripes aside" though. I do agree it looks similar to this one... from a distance. That's the crucial thing though. I imagine in the flesh it'll look very different, when people are walking about in it. I really like the pinstripe effect. As someone else said, I'm not sure what you can do with a blue shirt/white trim (that isn't going to be bonkers). At the end of the there's always someone offended.

New Home Kit Released on 22:04 - Jun 3 by The_Last_Baron | As far as I'm aware Adidas is Town's official kit manufacturer. Adidas sell Town shirts on their website (for £60). They wouldn't do this if we weren't an official partner. The way adidas work is that they have their elite clubs, such as Bayern, Real Madrid, Juventus, Man Utd etc. They will make more bespoke kits for these sides who they spend a lot of money with. they also make a fortune from sales. Then there are clubs like Town who will get a template away kit but can have a bit of artistic license with the home. We are now in the last year of the Adidas deal and I would argue they wouldn't be thrilled that a club who they viewed as a potential Premier League club when the deal was signed, are now League One. Then there are clubs who have a deal via a third party, or just buy Adidas kits and add the badges and sponsors themselves. There are dozens of professional clubs who do this throughout Europe, especially in less affluent leagues As for the new kit, it is fine. 90% the same shirt as two seasons ago. |
Cheers I quite like it. I agree it's similar. It is one of those if you want it buy it if not dont. But I do see it being a top seller due to ED and I think the plainess of it makes it even more of a sell to what will probably be more non town supporting people buying it.
