Wotcha.

Looking for somewhere which isn't Sushi Samba, Sticks N Sushi, or Inamo.

Danke schon, konichiwa.

https://www.noburestaurants.com/london-old-park-lane/home/ Is a beautiful dining room with really fresh, vibrant sushi.

Felt a bit homely like a pub, but modern enough to keep up with the freshness of the food.

It's really not. Awful, pretentious food at prices that make my teeth itch! Thankfully the only time I went my boss was paying for it.

Balls. What's wrong with bubble and squeak?

Bubble and squeak, I love it.

Bubble and squeak, I know.

Bubble and squeak, I cook it every morning, left over from the night before.

Ah the rich tapestry of contrasting opinions that is TWTD.

It's too expensive for this particular occasion, in any case, so I'm afraid I can't be arbiter.

It's only Japanese, not sushi, but my recommendation is Machiya in Piccadilly. Excellent food but an even better cocktail bar downstairs which does an excellent range of sakes.

Although be warned, it is very intimate...

Oh nice, one of my mates recently posted a meal there. Looked like proper food without trying too hard. Looked lovely though, especially the curry and rice.

Mel Hazelwood? She's always had good taste.

Still, she can afford the high life after winning so many social media court cases of late.

Baz Gibson this time, haven't heard from Mel in a long time - can't say I am too upset either after what they did with the wicker furniture.

The Japan Centre is practically next door as well and has everything Japanese! There's a little deli sort of thing for some cheap bites, all sorts of Japanese magazines, cooking equipment etc and some cuts of beef and tuna you'd need to take a mortgage out for. Highly recommend if your companion is a Japanophile :)

You go to all that trouble to make your veranda look presentable and then they go and do that sort of thing! It beggars belief.

But give my regards to Baz, been a while since I've seen him.
