What I would say is Nsiala was one of the better performers under PauL Cook.
Need 2x CB though - Woolfenden was very poor last year. |
After a good pre-season with Cook and all the new staff, why would you expect 2020-21 Woolfenden to show up rather than the 2019-20 version? |  |

I'm still shocked at the hate Nsiala gets. I know it's not exactly a high bar but he was easily one of our better performers last season. And can clearly do a job at this level. |
Agree.... his issue (and the reason he is a L1 defender) is he is prone to 1 or 2 gaffes a game which often seem to cost us... if those could be cut out of his game he's a good defender. Big, strong, puts himself about, body absolutely on the line and one of v few who never came across as having downed tools last year. Really think he leaves everthing on the pitch.
As a defender those mistakes are highlighted more, only GKs have it worse than that in terms of under the microscope.
Thata said those mistakes are so often avoidable and it's that makes me nervous when he plays but I don't think he deserves the degree of stick he gets and there is so much to like about his game |  |

Thing is, IF toto had 0 mistakes in him, with his other attributes, he'd be top 10 championship defender easily, his size, blocking ability etc
We do have to remember we are league 1, and although we are looking to sign certain players, as we apparently found via Bradley, getting an already championship standard CB is going to be near impossible. |  |

Two things:
(a) You notice occasional screw ups more when you only score once a game.
(b) Feel like Toto's screw ups were less regular as the season went on. | |

Played under Cook at Wigan. Ashton and O’Leary’s past at West Brom may help push us to the front of the line if he’s available for loan again this season.
