Anyone else's gone through the roof?

I pay around £150 per month and my DD is going up to £350, It's not like I live in Glemham Hall either!

Unless you're on an economy 7 tariff to go with your meter it'll make no difference really.

For 2 weeks you'll look at it and say things like 'the kettle uses a lot of electric ', then you'll prob never look at it again.

You will always have accurate billing though and not really on poor estimates for meter reads.

We pay around £100 per month in winter and £40-50 in summer, for gasl and elec combined.

Our Annual cost is about £800 per year...this is for 2 people in 2 bed semi detached.

We are with Green (who think were taken over with EDF) and unit prices are:

Gas 2.76p kWh
Elec 15.7p kWh (although just gone up from 13.9p kWh

This thread gave me the kick I needed to log on and change from the variable rate I have been on with British Gas for a while.

Monthly combined bill is £135 a month now which is a marked increase over the last couple of years.

I'd check that. Sometimes they try and hike it up way too high. Stick it in to a comparasion site to check the figures. But you may have done that already.

My current seal is 12p per unit, cheapest new unit is 19p going forward


Just checked my unit price and its nearly 21p per kWh unit.
