And last season he explained it with lack of fitness. It is a big concern for me. It had improved but, unless we can continue to maintain that improvement against the better sides we are now facing I am afraid it will be curtains for Cook in my opinion.
The worst case scenario for me is Cook does just enough to hang on without it being enough for us to haul ourselves into contention. I still maintain that we need 10 points from 5 matches this month. Colchester game will mean nothing in my view - bar another stick to beat with if things have gone badly elsewhere
Oldham the same really - if we lose to Wycombe, then get dumped out of cup then it doesn't look good for him.
Cups are just not important to us as a club it seems, although talk in Fans Forum was that FA Cup would be so who knows. | |

We’d have 1 more victory to add to that had Alan Young not decided to rewrite the rules of football against Wycombe in 2019 and maybe a further win at Oxford had the referee decided to give a penalty for Norwood being pulled down rather than deciding that two wrongs made a right because he hadn’t pulled Norwood up for a foul 10 yards outside the box.
