Good point that is. Isn't it harder now to get a European manager or am I wrong.
Apparently they've got to have been managing in a top European league for 36 months in the last 5 years (or one continuous 24-month stint). Very difficult requirement to meet (although I think Maurice Steijn's time at VVV-Venlo might qualify him?).
If hypothetically we had to recruit someone working in a top European league, the guy in charge at Rayo Vallecano (Andoni Iraola) is a total genius and will likely be on half the wages we were paying Paul Cook...
Of course, 7th in La Liga to 11th in League One might be a challenge for Mark Ashton to sell!
