Having some kind of focal point to the attack 16:52 - Dec 11 with 3242 views | gordon | Makes a massive difference. Norwood has contributed more in 20 minutes than Bonne over the last six games or so. [Post edited 11 Dec 2021 16:52]

Having some kind of focal point to the attack on 17:00 - Dec 11 by BondiBlue | Let's not go over the top. Still misses a lot of sitters. |
Any striker who misses a lot of good chances and yet stull scores a good number is doing something right getting those chances.

He came on today and changed the game, scored the equaliser and we might have snuck a winner. All you can do is get stuck into him, why would you do that?

He did exactly what you'd want a sub striker to do. The reaction on here to him doing his job is somewhat bizarre. I'm curious, you've been a big defender of Cook, who froze Norwood out, and you seem to rate Norwood. Do you think that's another example of Cook getting things wrong here?

I am all for giving Nors a chance. Mcgreal clearly rates him and Nors is feeling the love. If he was so poor how come Oxford want him. We need four good strikers and if Jackson goes we need to get a replacement .

Whether he should have bought him back sooner is another question. Probably not when we had Bonne and Piggot signed, and Bonne was on fire. I think Norwood just needs to keep things professional. Never been any doubt in my mind he can get goals for us and I love his approach to games, he leads by example in the pitch. Hopefully the club with more resources can give him the support he needs. These players are multi million pound assets, we need to look after them and help them with all aspects of their lives to help them succeed on the pitch. But yes I think if he can keep professional we should keep him for sure. As for the twitter nonsense, the club should have been all over that and either approve posts or just tell the players they should get off it. Football Players are not rocket scientists, have shed loads of money and tons of people wanting to follow them. They really should have proper media training. [Post edited 11 Dec 2021 21:14]

Having some kind of focal point to the attack on 18:07 - Dec 11 by Herbivore | Bonne and Pigott also do that when they play. Granted they give away fewer free kicks, but that doesn't mean they don't put themselves about. Bonne especially wins loads of one on one battles. |
The point, that you missed, is that Norwood does it better than those two. Despite being fat.

I know you're a big Norwood fan but you have demonstrably questionable judgement on footballing matters, so I'll take your view with a pinch of salt.

Having some kind of focal point to the attack on 17:51 - Dec 11 by gordon | Think it's more to do with playing styles - if we were getting loads of quality crosses into the box, I'd prefer Pigott. If quality through balls were being regularly threaded through, I'd have Bonne. But when the rest of the team is awful and playing with the quality of a League 2 team, I'd rather have a League 2 striker who knows how to scrap, make something out of rubbish service, force mistakes, and generally cause mayhem. |
Yep, let’s build for the future around a decent League 2 player that for the last two seasons manages half the games. At this level a useful impact sub who I’m pleased scored today to give us a point against one of the big boys. But let’s not begin to suggest that he’s the answer to our prayers. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Because it's more important to be right on the internet than watch games and support your players? Herbs would've hated it if Norwood had scored the winner.
