They both started the season amongst our better players, the problem was more having to rely on them to play such intensive roles for 46 matches.
And, as for that match, it was really crap but the covid outbreak we had just suffered may perhaps allow a degree of mitigation for that one in particular. |  |

The trouble was that during that meat of the season period that was just one of six league defeats in eight home games. Swindon were at the bottom. There was no mitigation as far as I’m concerned. We were plain poor.
I suspect When better times are with us we will have a truer perspective on just how truly awful Hurst, Lambert and Cook were. |  | | |
