I saw Tony Currie turn out for Torquay in the mid early 80s. Fat as a barrel. Hadn’t missed many dinners in the years before. Shirt stretched over the gut, he waddled out …..and was the best player by a country mile.

Obviously, I’d seen him in his prime too and boy, what a player.
