So how are Harper, El Miz and Carrol feeling this morning... 09:24 - Jan 21 with 5407 views | unstableblue | ... moved further down the pecking order by one place Harper clearly has failed overall on the pitch, but I did think he some really good attributes when he started..just needed to work on other aspects of his game Certainly he must have expected to be a regular dropping down a tier

So how are Harper, El Miz and Carrol feeling this morning... on 09:29 - Jan 21 by Wallingford_Boy | Should only think Harper is bothered. Carrol won't be around for long and El Miz is just finding his way, needs a L2 loan to get game time. |
Think Carrol is most likely to leave. I imagine that McKenna will see potential in Harper and El Miz and something to work with.

So how are Harper, El Miz and Carrol feeling this morning... on 12:11 - Jan 21 by The_Flashing_Smile | Every time someone signs someone complains "this isn't a priority." And every time I say the same thing - this signing doesn't prevent any other signings from happening. Signings don't happen in priority order, they happen when deals are able to be completed, for a variety of reasons. Before Cook's 19 all came in people were fretting for the same reasons. |
This is very true. If for example you want to build a whole new team as Cook tried to do, logic says you’d build the spine of the team first, starting at the back. In the real world, the only way to do it is to have a list of targets and acquire them when you can. Inevitably some deals take longer than others so the order of arrival is going to be random. There was another way. Leave most of the existing team in place and replace what you don’t like piece by piece over 2 or 3 windows. Cook chose the bomb squad. The heart of the problem was expressed by Dyer. We no longer produce good enough young players. Thanks Evans. As Burley points out, this is the best way to do it for a club of this size, supplementing them with signings. El Miz may prove good enough and Harper an asset. Get them playing matches elsewhere if necessary. Bakinson? Let’s see what KM does with him before criticising him, the player or anyone else.

Indeed, a pretty fair summary Churchers.
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

So how are Harper, El Miz and Carrol feeling this morning... on 10:27 - Jan 22 with 280 views | pointofblue | The Bakinson loan does feel odd to me, and the last thing we need is another midfielder who cannot impose himself on the game. However, reading further articles here it seems like we’re ensuring we have cover so El Mizouni and Harper can be loaned out themselves. The good thing is he can hardly affect our season negatively - the play offs and therefore promotion are a pipe dream - and if he doesn’t work out we simply don’t take up the offer of a permanent transfer.

If he's going to be back-up, seems like a pointless signing as I assume he goes ahead of Harper & El Miz in the pecking order. Possibly, McKenna sees him as a player of real potential but we've had so many of these punts in the past that didn't work out. Summer will be the real test of what McKenna thinks Town need.
