Very much dependent on how deep the pockets of our new owners are, but i'd say pushing for top 6 in the Championship consistently, with a glorious p/o failure has to be a minimum

I wonder how many teams in Premier League history have been in the third tier or below for at least three seasons and then made it to the Prem within 5 years. Bradford and Wigan come to mind. Portsmouth if you count stints in the third tier from before the PL era. There may be others.
It's certainly possible, but (a) it's rare, and (b) it seems to entail a financial mess at some point further down the line.
I'd be content to build gradually and have it be sustainable. I think Championship is most likely in 5 years' time (and over 50% of people seem to agree in some form or other).
I think we'll be in a better place than we are now, which is just as well, as the options for the poll don't seem to allow the holding of negative opinions!
