there are a number of factors that could come into play ranging from a a couple of the team above us suddenly imploding to one of our strikers suddenly going on a scoring spree and banging gaols in for fun

Absolute madness. We’re bang average and won’t get past 7th this season. It’s absolute delusion that McKenna can turn this bunch into top six quality when they’ve not managed it all season despite being paid astronomical money for League One players. They’re simply not good enough to go up, we’ll need to keep Walton, Edmondson and Burns in the summer but we need to upgrade the rest and replace the most. Hopefully the new manager will recruit some central midfielders that can play with some actual creativity too.
Look at what Rotherham have done, on half the money we are paying and they’ve won 21 games this season. Our “best Squad in the league” hasn’t even threatened top 6 all season. Overpaid, over rated and over hyped. |

Rotherham and Wigan are a shoe-in for top 2 IMO.
MK Dons in 3rd and Town in 9th are separated by only 9 points - but MK Dons next few games are Sunderland (A), Charlton (A), Bolton (H), Rotherham (A), Cheltenham (H) and Wigan (H) . Town could reasonably have closed the gap on MK after the next 6 games.
Town also have 8 home games and only 6 away - and most of the away games are against teams near the bottom of the league - Morecambe, Fleetwood, Crewe & Shrewsbury being 4 of them.
Above Town both Sunderland and Wycombe are out of form and falling down the table - that may well continue.
In short, with a good finish to the season, i.e at least 10 wins, Town could well sneak into the play-off and possibly even be the form team should they achieve it. | | | |

Had a go ar predicting what the league one table will look like at the end of March assuming, at that stage all games in hand have been played and everyone has played 40 games. Did it Guthrum style based on home and then away games form.
