Until the final ball.

Wasted so many chances though

yeah, it's a bit of a concern because it's a trend now over a longer period of time.

We are just doing enough to get over the line in terms of scoring in most games but it's biting us on the arse like last week and the 2 games early on this month where we haven't put teams away.

I adore Burns, but his final ball has about a 1 in 7 rate of going to our men, if we pull the crosses back 5 yards we go in 4-0 up at HT

We always do.

But agreed. The performance throughout the team was superb. And what the attack lacks in being clinical in the final third, they make up for in workrate and defending from the front.

We made Plymouth look a much worse team than they clearly are, given their points haul this season.

Yeah his crossing at times let’s him down.

But the control of games we have is superb.

That was a really good win. Another clean sheet too. Yes, we aren’t putting teams away, but it’s not going to take much before teams know it’s a waste of time turning up.

I was thinking about Paul Mariner and the Ipswich teams he played for. There were times when you could see on the opposition faces when they came out that they knew they had no chance. And most of the time they didn’t. This team, at a much lower level of course, is going to dominate like that if we can just find a few more teeth up front.

The progress since December has been excellent.

Agreed, but never looked in trouble at the back

There is an issue in the final third sometimes. Dominated Pompey, Oxford (second half) and Plymouth today and only 2 goals and 5 points. That’s without even going back to Cheltenham, Morecambe Et Al.

Same old problem we've had for a while now. So many opportunities fizzing across the face of goal or when someone did make contact, blazed wide or over.

Should have been much more comfortable, Plymouth didn't lay a finget on us, not sure how they have one their last 6.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.
