Coming down down from the Championship 13:50 - Apr 3 with 1332 views | HARRY10 | -The (almost) local P'Boro local certain for the drip. Then it is two out of three Reading Barnsley and Derby All those 3 being bigger clubs than what you will find for much of L1. Whether Derby will bounce straight back, or fester like us Weds, S'Land, Pompey will have to be seen. I doubt our away fans will miss Wigan, but it could be Exeter, B Rovers and Forest Green coming up........ a few miles on the clock.

Rotherham, Wigan, MK Dons, Sheff Wed, Sunderland, Oxford, Portsmouth, Bolton, Charlton, AFC Wimbledon, Crewe, Ipswich might all argue against you. Any club playing in League 1 will be in League 1 due to how they have been performing. You could argue that is not the full story for Derby but I don't think they are a nailed on automatic promotion side next season any more than Sunderland and Portsmouth have been each season they have been at this level.

The gap between League One and the Championship is bigger than it probably ever has been, so hardly surprising to see Peterborough coming straight back down.

Hmmm - a close look at the top half of the championship shows many recent division 3 residents.

Not many, and if they managed to stay up the first season then yes. But I think we are going to regularly see 2 of the promoted teams getting relegated
Coming down down from the Championship on 15:34 - Apr 3 with 1012 views | You_Bloo_Right | Reading? Are we really now citing Reading as a "big" club (I know that's not quite what you said but the implication seems there). This is the honours history for Reading: League competitions English 2nd tier Winners (2): 2006, 2012 Runners Up (1): 1995 English 3rd tier Winners (3): 1926, 1986, 1994 Runners Up (5): 1932, 1935, 1949, 1952, 2002 English 4th tier Winners (1): 1979 Highest league finish Premier League 2007, 8th Place Cup competitions FA Cup Semi-final: 1927, 2015 Quarter-final: 1901, 2010, 2011, 2016 EFL Cup Quarter-final: 1996, 1998 Full Members Cup Winners (1): 1988 London War Cup Winners (1): 1941 Football League Third Division South Cup Winners (1): 1938 I imagine they have spent most of their time in the 3rd tier so assuming they get relegated for Reading football is coming home.

Coming down down from the Championship on 17:02 - Apr 3 with 817 views | ParisBlue | Reading avoiding defeat yesterday makes them favourites to stay up. 5pts ahead with 7 games left. Derby need a miracle. If Reading were to go down they could be the next basket case. Every chance of a second points deduction. Could be a couple more points deductions in the Championship next year as well. League 2 is ridiculous. 5 points between 3rs and 11th, with the teams in 9th-11th having a game in hand. Forest Green, Bristol Rovers, Newport and Exeter/Swindon (along with cheltenham) would help with some local trips for me (tickets permitting). As I learned the hard way, Plymouth isn't local to anywhere!
