Woodrow. Assuming we'd own him, he's a player I like and while he isn't what we might have assumed KMcK is after he has history with Chaplin too so there's potential of reigniting that partnership https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/barnsley-conor-chaplin-delighted-bloomi

Hirst. At 23 he has a higher ceiling. I don’t think Woodrow is necessarily a bad player, I’m just not sure he’d be a good fit for us.

Not too many names spring to mind in the central striker role, unless there is a real left field name I haven’t heard of that comes about.

Hirst, by a country mile

Ideal Age, profile, fits the system, runs with the ball, looks dangerous in the box, MUCH cheaper for both fee and wages (likely to be a loan for Hirst)

Woodrow is an expensive Joe Pigott. Look how that turned out. Completely unnecessary to have a slow target man leading the line in a style that desperate needs runners of the ball. Ladapo and Jackson are evidence of that, but you still need someone capable of holding onto the ball, spinning and running at defenders. Woodrow would drop as deep as Celina did last season and you'd never see him near the box.

His 4 goals last season were 2 pens, 1 free kick and a header. Hirst scored a range of goals, notably the fact that he made smart runs in the box ala Bonne pre-November.

Woodrow for me. However, if sheff wed are in for him i can see him going there due to the geography. I wouldnt mind someone like ryan hardie, think we'll sign someone we've not been linked to

Hopefully his nickname is just Dave.

Surely not 2 more strikers unless we sell Piggott?

Not that I'd say no to both Hirst and Yates...
