Braverman and Baker both thrown their hats in to the ring so far.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?

Braverman is against abortion rights isn't she? And has spoken out against transgender rights (praising JK Rowling at the same time)? And did an interview yesterday saying all this woke nonsense needs to stop? She'll fit the Tories like a glove.

Baker's announcement was so surreal on the BBC. It is one of the most David Brent moments I have ever seen.

Whereas Johnson was a brexiter because it could get him into No 10, they are both hard brexiters who are true believers. either of them as PM and things could get even worse.

She's awful. So that makes her very qualified to do the job.

Every Tory MP will believe they can do a better job than BoJo.

Assuming they try to get it done before heading off on extended holidays they have less than two weeks.

Going to be an interesting battle if I was a gambler I would go for a compromise candidate , someone who has demonstrated their strengths and known for their integrity. He has to climb the greasy pole and make the final two but Ben Wallace would come out in top with those who make the final selection, party members.

Penny Mordaunt would be my choice, failing that maybe Tom Tugendhat

Both good shouts because I haven't heard of them, which means by definition they are immediately better shouts than at least 20 Tories I have heard of for absolutely awful reasons.

I'm not sure the big names currently being bandied about will be in the final run-off.

Penny Mordaunt works for me.

and I'd like to see Kemi Badenoch running as an outsider candidate. (Who'd heard of David Cameron before 2005? - yet he beat Davis and Clarke in the end)

Really hope there is a proper contest at least and not a coronation. As a party member I get a say in this.

Whoever wins for the Tories isnt getting my vote i would imagine. But as long as it is someone sensible, who will focus on being prime minister. Ideally a social liberal and someone who can admit that Brexit needs work.

Only a short list then

Any of the so called current front runners would be a disaster apart from Gove, Gove is a very capable man despite looking like a squashed frog - and I must admit I did chuckle this morning that I read he had been sacked.
